Early Works
The painting series of 1987-1990 attempted to document daily life in the camp in the first intifada showing the different activities that took place, from floods in the street, confrontations, and family life in what the people believed to be temporary location. The Paintings were created on the sacks of flour and sugar distributed to the refugees by UNWRA. The scale of the works were intentionally large scale to speak to traditions of history painting.
